I’m good.

I felt like using some different languages today, so there you go, some lessons in Polish and French (not sure if the French is  totally correct).

So all I really have to talk about is the movie, Precious. Today (November 26, 2009) I saw Precious and it scared me.

Precious is a movie about an obese, illiterate 16 year old girl named Claireece Precious Jones who lives in  an apartment in Harlem. Her mother is physically and mentally abusive, her father has raped and impregnated her twice, and she has one child nicknamed Mongo who is taken care of by her grandmother.  At the beginning of the movie it is found out by her junior high school that she is pregnant for the second time and she is suspended. But her principal has arranged for her to go to an alternative school (parapharased from Wikipedia).

In short, this movie made me on edge the entire time. It made me scared and angry,  but gave me a whole new perspective. I live in a generally good place; my school is good, my town has a relatively low crime rate, the economy hasn’t taken a huge toll on me, and my parents are good people. I could never imagine what is happening to Precious, happening to me. My parents are not abusive, and I know they never will be. My school is great, and I can’t imagine barely knowing my ABC’s at the age of 16, especially since my reading level was at a 12th grade level in 5th or 6th grade.  I can’t imagine being on welfare, even though my parents make enough to pay the bills and only a tiny bit more.

So, despite my feeling of redundancy for Thanksgiving, I realized I had more to be thankful for than my family, friends, and various inventions. I am now thankful for my non-abusive and beautiful family, my great and challenging school, my friendly neighbors, my strange town, the trust I am given, the beautiful experiences I’ve had, the greatest friends I could ever have, the limited (though available) money I have, the health of anyone I know and those I don’t, the beautiful nature of this planet, and the love I am shown everyday.

So I’ve been meaning to make a post… but I just never got around to it.

Especially since there hasn’t been much going on.

But I haven’t told you all yet!

I GOT THE GNOMES!

So I think they need names, so what do you want to name them?

I was thinking Tony and Jip (please excuse the horrible grammar/spelling, that was forever ago when that was written), but it really doesn’t matter, so leave your comments with name suggestions!

So this Friday we went to [insert our school name here] Idol! It was so much fun! All the bands were great and the friends that we had performing in it were awesome. But I have one complaint.

*looks at Christine pointedly*

Tyler, Christine’s boyfriend, was talking so loudly during some of the acts! It was ridiculous!

But he got yelled at so all is well!

We also saw Kabuki Lady Macbeth a week ago and it was awesome! I didn’t really go into it with any expectations since I had never seen a kabuki style play, but I ended up really liking it. Though I’m pretty sure that if you were young you would have trouble understanding what they said and what was going on, because the language was very Shakespearean ( as would be expected). Knowing the general plot would help.

SOOO Umm, I needed to write more for my last post, so I just decided to write a new post.

I mean #1 I’m lazy. #2  WE NEED MORE POSTS! Why not make more posts? [: I mean I could just edit my last post.. or I could add to our post count! Smart right? I know. Not really.

Yesterday I went and saw Comedian TIM HAWKINS! XDD You might not have heard of him, but he’s friggen HILARIOUS. We spent 1 hour and 20 minutes laughing NON-STOP. He did a 25-minute segment of parody songs he sang, and so we though, oh no, now what’s he gonna do? He can’t top those… and yet every single joke he made was amazingly hilarious. My dad and I agreed that we’ve never laughed so hard for so long in our lives.

I’m not too sure what to say anymore.

And I honestly need to go do note cards for government… or an article or something. Everything is due… in A WEEK.. (and 9 days for some things) That’s.. crazy. I told myself I wouldn’t procrastinate this weekend. Yeah. That was a failure. Definitely don’t trust me to do crap when it’s not due that day.

OH! I’m really sick now. It’s probably because swine flu has spread across the US, and another epidemic of sickness is hitting people again, or it might be because I was in a room with 1000 people all laughing together, spreading their germs across each other… Either way, I have a really bad cough. I was fine today at school, and then when I got home, I was talking and I like.. started losing my voice really badly. I mean, it’s not gone.. but it was REALLY hoarse…

But you know what’s weird? I was playing the guitar.. and singing a pretty song from the Prince of Egypt (great movie, you should check it out) and my singing voice was… fine? *Question mark?* I mean you would think I would sound like a dying cat singing, and then be.. eh-ish talking, but no. Just the opposite. Huh. Well that’s weird.

I had spaghetti for dinner! Because I know you care.

So… it’s my turn to write a post. Have you noticed how lazy-bumm-ish I am? Melissa sure has. Goodness, bugging Christine and I EVERY DAY to write a post. So impatient! Um, hi my name is Boarfus Weihl.

HEY GUYS!!!! so i know i know, i haven’t written a post in a loooooong time. Well melizza’s and steph’s constant nagging got me to write this lol.

so first off: ill explain the name of this post. so at lunch (which I have the earliest freaking lunch in the school..gr..) i sit with my friend, janusz, and one day he got white cheddar popcorn and got the bright idea “hey! i bet this would taste good with ketchup!” O.O so he got ketchup and dipped the popcorn in it. “omg this is amazing – you should try it!”  soo I tried it….NASTIEST THINGS I HAVE EVER TASTED. well besides the rotten egg jelly bean me,melizza,and stpehy got from walgreens! lol

sooooooooooooo as some of u may know, but probably not – our homecoming game and dance were friday (sept. 25th) and saturday (26th). we actually won the game! 30 to 0! so now our football team is like 3 wins to like umm 10 loses? lol so yeah that was amazing that we won. the homecoming dance was purtyyy good. the music wasn’t as bad and rap-py as last year. so thats very good. gah i hate rap.

so what next. OH! alright.. if someone was kind, YES KIND, enough to nicely sharpen ur PEN and it was still in one piece and worked as normal as pre-sharpened woudlnt you still want it?! see, stephy does not agre with that logic. and me and melizza are very proud of ourselves because we put microeconomics into real life. stephanies bad removal of her good working pen cause her supply to go down. HA. lol

omg so we have this huge project for english! sorry for the school refernce – i know its a horrible thing. but me and steph are working as partners for this project and there’s no way in the world we are going to finish it with us being busy with other homework especially her AP gov and our a.d.d. so were screwed XD

so i should really start working on those cookies. melizza and steph want me to bake cookies cuz i pinky – promised I’d have them done by this week. but i’ll have to make alot..and i mean alot so theryre not all gone by first period. and the day i bring them to school I’m going to have to bring protective gear so when i get attacked i wont die…hopefully. :] so yea im going to go try to get my mom to get the ingrdients i need.

Chicago lost the Olympic bid! I was kind of hoping it would be there because then I could maybe have the chance to go to the Olympics once in my life. But oh well, I guess they wanted to make history. Congrats Rio de Janeiro! If it wasn’t Chicago I’m glad it’s you! Oh well, time to get excited for the Winter Olympics in Vancouver!

Official Gnome Hunt!

My mom and I are going around my area looked for a Garden Gnome because the ones online are to expensive. Why is Melissa going to find a gnome you may ask? Well, are you can see my looking at our header, we get known through gnomes. Mhmm, most of our views come from people searching some version of garden gnome! So I decided I will will find a gnome! Then when I get this gnome we will have to name it :] After that I may possibly have something to plan to do with it… But it’s definitely not finalized in anyway.

So yesterday I came across my new favorite website a.k.a. Last.fm . It’s pretty much a collection of every kind of music with almost all the artists you can think of! It’s pretty much my  newest obsession. Really if you haven’t joined yet and want to find new music, go there…. right now…. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!??

So we still have a lot of homework, bu I finished most of mine and today is my procrastination day (Stephanie had a procrastination WEEK). I don’t know what i should do with my procrastination day, but I think I’ll end up lounging around and such. Maybe do some updates which are badly needed. Take some DAILYBOOTH PICTURES. But anyways onto the post!

I actually might be a foreign exchange student for a year! it all really depends on credits and money and whatnot. But my school is being strangely generous about credits, so much that I’m really confused. My guidance counselor said that when I came back they would take the credits but as if they were academic classes, and I don’t know if they would be pass/fail or regular grades. But either way I’m taking extra classes because I WANT AS MUCH AP/HONORS CREDIT POSSIBLE! But the only problem is English, because I can’t take both AP Junior English and AP Senior English in one year…. But I’m working on a solution.

Another exciting thing is that Stephanie and I are pretty sure we passed our AP Government test! WOOOO! That means Christine isn’t dying today which really doesn’t bring me to my next point…

it’s Sir Winston’s Birthday!

Yeah, he’s 13 today! He so old and grumpy… but I love him :] So I think you should wish him a Happy Birthday because he’s older than a bunch of people and he’s twice as adorable (admit it! you know I’m right)!!!

But besides all those things, life has been busy and boring, and what are we busy with you may ask?

If you put C, you are absolutely positively CORRECT! IF you follow us on twitter you would know because every other tweet is something like “SO MUCH HOMEWORK! and “doing homework!” I guess it’s not ridiculous the amount of work they give us (except A.P. Government, that is truly ridiculous) but still. I swear one day I didn’t have homework, and I had to ask Stephanie what I should do because I got confused.

More good news! Tomorrow is Homecoming Pep Rally! This means that classes are 22 minutes except the 3 lunch periods (and zero hour… unfortunately… )so it’s absolutely fabulous! Both A.P. Economics and A.P. Government are shortened which makes my entire day just that much better! Also, that means that the Homecoming Dance is on Saturday which should that Christine is absolutely writing a post so our viewers won’t be bored or I’ll wring her neck… RIGHT CHRISTINE?! Yeah, I know she thought of that without me even thinking about it :]

That’s partially because Melissa went on Haitus, and obviously proved that she’s the only one who really runs this website. DARN CHRISTINE AND MY LACK OF CARE AND COMPLETE LAZINESS.

So I decided to make a quick post before I go do my homework. (curse you AP gov!) It’ll just be one of those posts that you read when there’s nothing else to do.. so if you have something to do.. GO DO IT! and then come back when you’re bored out of your mind [:

So first, and I’m sure Melissa will approve of me sharing this, yesterday Melissa showed me a youtube video of this guy, istothehalfabee.

He’s this SWEET musician who plays guitar AMAZINGLY and has an a really awesome voice! ( Low AND falsetto! XD ) And so she showed me this video of him singing/playing “I’ll Be Seeing You” and.. you just have to watch it XD

It’s some nice, fun music to listen to if you have nothing else to do. IN FACT. You can listen to him while you do the SECOND thing I have, to show you O:

2 more days until “Now Is Not Forever!” <3

Okay! So sorry! I know we haven’t posted in forever! That would be mostly my fault. Christine did her post last week, and as.. some(?) of you know, Melissa is on her website hiatus currently. SO! Blame Christine, though it IS indirectly my fault, I will admit.

It’s not completely my fault though D:< So much homework! Have you guys started school yet? It feels like we’ve already been there for months and it’s only been what.. 3 weeks? And it’s mostly (for me at least) AP government homework, and a mixture of English essays, Geometry problems, and random Chemistry crap. *sigh*

I’ve been typing *sigh* a lot lately. Oh well. *sigh* [:

Okay so umm.. what to talk about...

I made a graphic today!

Basically I saw this picture and I was like "BAM! GRAPHIC TIME!" But really the purpose was practicing my cutting. ( Because I love me some cutting:3 ) And I learned how to put scanlines in, so that was exciting! I feel bad though for basically cheating and using a texture from online. I mean I know that's not cheating but... I could have easily made mah own. I'm just so lazy all the time. (And for those who do not understand graphic terms... I cut the perdy person out of a picture, and added a perdy background with some lines going through and some words along with it. :] )

So umm.. what to say.. shoot I only have like 10 minutes before I have to go.. Maybe less! D: *types hurridly* (I’m going to church for cameras again. Because I love ze camera filming![: Which somehow reminded me that I need to ask that yearbook lady when yearbook starts…)

So I think dailybooth has taken over The Chipmunk Club’s lives XD. If you magically have not heard of it, then you seriously need to go check it out.

TODAY IS MY BRITHDAY!

*cough* XD k im good. I’m finally 15! it took long enough! lol

I totally lost count of all the birthday hugs/pokes I’ve gotten today. so today was pretty great.. even though it was in school. lol

oh and melizza made me these brownies….omfg seriously they are amazing. and janusz kept asking me at lunch like ” CAN I PLEASEE HAVE A BROWNIEEE?” and i’m like nooo wayyy XD

On friday I went to a Nickelback concert! (my third or fourth one). They were with Saving Abel, Pape Roach, and Hinder. The concert was absolutely amazing! So at first we just had lawn seats and we’re like “crap -.-” because it was going to rain a lot that night. But then a guy that works at the concert place was actually giving away upgrades to seats like only 6 rows from the stage that was actually covered so we didn’t get rained on! AND FOR FREE! We actually manged to get a hold of some before a hugeeee mob of people came to get the ticket upgrades. So yea that was great! And we saw people like soaked half-way through the concert and we’re like “mwhahahaha”

haha oh and if your wondering about the name of this post here’s the story:

So in English today, the bell rang and we were leaving class, and Steph looked at my jeans and was like ” your jeans are all marked from marker.” and I’m like “umm it’s not marker..it’s supposed to be there…” and shes like “OOOOOH! haha its not marker..” lol cuz i have like writing on my jeans with like skulls and a boom box and a star or two that’s black and it kinda looks like i went crazy with sharpie on my jeans on like the top part of my legs…so that’s what the name of this post means lol

So I’m gunna end the post now cause I gots homework to do. lol i likey all the colorz XD
