Soccer Fever!
I’ve been watching the FIFA Confederation Cup (which is being held in South Africa), and it’s absolutely INTENSE! I love it! That be one of the only Polish traits I have, besides thinking like a Polish person. But yup, Melissa loves her some soccer. The last match I watched was Brazil vs. Italy. I was SO SURPRISED! I honestly thought Italy would win, but Brazil came through and won 3-0.
So who I am continuously rooting for?
SPAIN!
Who else? I love me some Spain and it even has it’s own hand gesture! Spain is just that special, and I love them! But who are my favorite players? Well my favorites are David Villa(#7) and Fernando Torres(#9), because they seem like the best players (and one of them is definitely going to win the Adidas Golden Shoe Award). Plus they’re just amazing, pure and simple.
Their next match in the semi-finals *squee* is on June 24th at 1:30 P.M. Central against the USA, and yes I will be watching no matter where I am. No i really don’t care that the USA is there, I really DON’T want them to win. I’m completely for Spain, because Spain is just amazing.
Who are you rooting for and who are your favorite players? I want to know so tell me! And if you aren’t rooting for a team there’s a certain team you should probably root for…*coughchokeSPAINchokecough*
So other things besides the confederation cup…we went to Six Flags last Wednesday! Sorry I’m not making a post devoted to it but well…the photo page would probably explain everything that happened much more in depth(once it’s made that is, right now the pictures won’t upload). But it was a lot of fun and there were REALLY SHORT LINES, if the ride had lines at all. Raging Bull, which is our gigantically fun roller coaster (though I’m completely terrified of the first drop and had a panic attack when we were going down),had a 20-30 minute line. Usually even if you get there early, you’ll have AT LEAST an hours line and later in the day it’ll go 3 hours and up. Remember more rain, more flags, more fun! We really need to go again!
One last thing before I end the post, Harpers island! I’ve been following this show since it started back in May and it’s super amazing! if you follow it, can you believe what happened last week? HOLY CRAP RIGHT?!!??! I totally didn’t expect it. If you don’t watch this show I completely recommend you go on cbs.com and go to Harper’s Island and watch all the episodes. You won’t regret it, and then I’ll have actual people to talk about this show with, cause Christine doesn’t really keep up… But that’s ok! Go watch it, and comment about it! Only three more episodes left!

So a while back when the dinosaurs roamed the earth I joined socialvibe and thought hey lets put my badge on wordpress too! So I tried several times to put it up and emailed wordpress and they just said it contained flash and I couldn’t use it. But now they have a socialvibe widget! All my socialvibe problems are solved!
So what is socialvibe anyway? Socialvibe is a website, which you can sign upon, that lets you get a sponsor and earn points for your charity by posting your badge on social network websites, then the points turn into donations. This post is going to be an out of whack, absolutely nutty thing, because I have totally nothing to do, and I haven’t written a post in a REALLY long time…And I feel like writing a darn post! So here we go o.o
Okay, well so you know what I’ve been doing for the past two days, I’ve been watching FAMILY FORCE FIVE videos<3 I’ve been listening to their remix CD, I’ve watched all 24 of their Really Real Shows, I’ve seen a bunch of their songs live (on youtube :[ I wanna see them live though! That would be AMAZING) And umm yeah. I have officially fallen in love with one of their guitarists. His ganster name is Chap Stique. His REAL name is Derek Mount, but I mean who calls him that these days? That’s why I said my gangster name up there ^ o_o. Gangsta pigeon.. Anyways. So if you wanna know who Chap Stique is.. I made a blend while I was bored! =D
You have to admit he’s pretty hot XDD. And he’s like absolutely amazing, because he’s like the total optimist of the group. XD which is like.. totally me. He’s like “the goody two shoes” of FF5 like I’m the goody two shoes of The Chipmunk Club.. xD We’re like peanut butter without …carrots.
ANYWAYS, before you leave freaked out by my freakish girl reactions, or confusing jokes that aren’t jokes unless you get them, I’ll change the subject!
UMMM What to say, what to say… Well! I could tell you a little about driver’s ed! Since I think only… ONE of you knows how to drive o_o. I could be lying, and you all have your lisences, but I’m pretty sure I’m right about this one, LOL.
Well buckle your seatbelts everyone! I’m going to take you on a wild adventure! You’re going to soon understand the complexities of the road you drive on! Make sure your seat and mirrors are adjusted, and put the key in the ignition! Now turn that baby and start your engines, ’cause here we GOOOOO!!!
o_o Yes, a dramatic starting was needed. So umm, pretty much, I’m doing good in Driver’s Ed… and… o_o I haven’t died yet, obviously.

So Melissa is bored and has insomnia! YAY! So since the chipmunk club is going to six flags in two weeks I decided to see if anything new is going on at six flags (besides that my favorite dancing old guy is back!!!). So I stated reading some of the reviews of six flags and wow people are such complainers. These are the most common complaints and my take on them.
- #1 Complaint – Parking: At our Six Flags there are two different lots, one for those who want to pay $25 (shorter walk) and one for $15 (longer walk). Though this is strange, in my opinion, this is good because you can choose to pay less for parking and you get additional exercise(don’t be lazy). A lot people were complaining about crossing a road type deal. Wow… my parents always told me to look both ways before crossing the street!
- #2 Complaint – Long Lines : Are you kidding me? Have never been to an amusement park? Lines are part of the experience! It gets you pumped for the ride and gives parents a chance to calm little kids down, because there’s always that one kid who wants to go on the ride and the net second they don’t. Plus long lines are something you should expect when there are a WHOLE LOT of people other than you somewhere.
- #3 Complaint – Expensive food : See my family was always done the whole get-a-hand-stamp-and-go-eat-in-the-car-where-you-have-a-cooler-filled-with-yummy-food type deal. It’s very simple, wrap your mind around it!
- #4 Complaint – Flash Passes : Do you realize these people shell out and extra $30 just to get on a ride faster? Plus they don’t get the full experience of the “long line.” There’s no point in getting worked up over this! So your wait is longer, big deal! Stop whining and put on your big boy/girl pants!
- #5 Complaint – Water Park/Dark Knight : If you’re making a review you probably read reviews before you went (I know this because I’m a big review reader/giver). So you probably knew all the bad and good parts, but you went anyway. Congratulations, you chose to ignore all the people that said it was a waste of time. You fail.
- #6 Complaint- Lockers : Yeah, last year they started putting up lockers all over the place and they don’t have those nifty little storage shelves/trunks on ride anymore! Sorry! But there are several ways to amend this. One would be to get one of those lockers for all day use that is near where you you will be spending much of your time. Another would be… the dreaded fanny pack. Or if you have one of those people who come with just to have fun and don’t go on all the rides, ask them NICELY to hold your stuff .
- #7 Complaint – Rude Workers : You do realize they have to be here everyday right? They deal with cranky kids, gross food,stranbge smells, neon yellow shirts, regular throw up, and all the complaints above daily. Plus they’re either teenagers or college stundets, none of us are super happy people! So maybe look around for the napkins for a minute before asking them about it and telling them they’re in a bad place.
So this is a strange post since this has nothing to do with what we do besides that we’re goinbg to six flags, but I thought this would, in a general sense, apply to most amusement parks. It seems that people think they’re going to some sort of wonderland when they fork over ticket money, but it’s really not as bad as people make it out of be. You just need to see things a different way or suck it up.
So… that’s pretty much it except that you should probably go check out some of the pages since they were UPDATED! Yesiree they were updated, so go now! What are you waiting for?
